How I lost 58.5 lbs in 21 weeks

I've written a few blog posts sharing a bit of my journey to health.  I'm excited to report that i've lost 58.5 lbs so far.

I went from 282.5 lbs to 224 in 21 weeks.  Mostly this has been done by changing my diet.  However, I have begun to incorporate some physical activity.

I have upped my protein intake and I eat lots of veggies.  I have decreased my intake of fruits, sugars, salt, and starches.

I feel better than I have in years even though I didn't realize that I felt bad until I felt what good feels like.

I used a program called Quick Weight Loss Centers (qwlc.com) but the biggest part was making the decision to start something.

With determination and accountability, you can achieve your goals as well.

Favorite Fitness Apps (So Far...)

One of the fun things about my health and fitness journey is getting creative with my food and workouts.

Let me start off by saying that i'm not (and have never been) one for killing myself to get in the shape I want.  In fact, I think i'll always be satisfied with a little "fluff".  However, I do see the importance of getting (and staying) in shape.  Therefore, i've been doing a little here and there.

I'm particularly excited to play with a new gadget, so it makes it fun. in multiple ways.

So, I want to share with you some apps that i've discovered to be helpful and fun.

1. Fitbit

I just got my fitbit and I love it.  I recommend going for it, if you can afford it.  However, even if you can't, the fitbit app is excellent. You can track quite a bit within the app.

2. Runtastic Pushups

I really like this app.  It allows you to gradually increase the amount of pushups you can do.

 3. Runtastic Situps

Again, this app is great.  It starts you off slow and helps you to gradually build up to a great short work out.

4. Runtastic Squats

Get those glutes in shape with this app that gradually increases your amount.  A great quick exercise.

I'm not fitness professional and I do not pretend to be.  However, I'm the average guys who doesn't really like to work out.  But I can spend a few minutes a day with some of these apps and work up a bit of a sweat and burn some calories while i'm at it.

I encourage you to do something.  Find an exercise that you can do and stick to a routine.  Focus over time is what brings results.
