Well, yesterday I didn't post. I am actually in a hurry today and have to go buy groceries for the Valentines Banquet @ church but thought i'd take a minute to explain and to write for today.
Allison was with me last night. I'd much rather see her than write about her. That's me explanation.
Today I want to write about how beautiful she is and how lucky of a guy I am. When spedning time with her last night I looked into her eyes an saw someone who looked back at me with such deep love. That's when I noticed last night of how beautiful she is. I had noticed before, I noticed the moment I saw her. But I'm talking about a beauty much deeper than the skin. I am so lucky to have a beautiful bride to be, but the thing that amazes me is her sweet spirit and her servants heart. She serves me, the "Divo", her middle school girls, and just about everyone she knows.
I looked into her eyes and saw her love for me. It is in all these things combined that you find her beauty.
I hope that you can see our love and follow its model for your life, not because its so great, believe me, all human relationship pale in comparison to the love Christ has. But as for dating relationships and engagements. I hope that you see our deep love for Christ being what drives our deep love for one another. We waited too. She had never dated before me and I had only dated once. Why? We did not feel the need to date unless we were ready to get married. Single life was a gift from God and a time to prepare for what marriage would be. We do not kiss. Why? We wanted that to be somethign for marriage to and felt kissing might only lead to other things if not controlled.
All that we do and did was born out of a desire to honor God first, not ourselves.
All of life must be that.
