Occasionally I want to do music reviews for the benefit of you guys who are looking for God honoring music to add to your iPod or collection. I felt it only appropriate for my first review to be of the newest CD in which Allison and I invested, Pages by Shane and Shane. This album is splendid! The Shanes have outdone themselves with their ability to have a distinctive sound yet add so many new dimensions to each song. The words and music lead you through the magnificent journey on which each song takes you. What is particularly exhilarating about this album is its confrontation of the listener with the solid gospel message of Christ. Embracing Accusation and Vision of You both confront the idea that we are good enough to warrant salvation and change in our lives in which we can honor God, the Shanes claim through song that Christ is the one who changes. Each song delivers the passion that the Shanes have for loving God. Burn us Up relives the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were thrown into a fiery furnace, their love for God and devotion to Him was so strong that they were willing to burn rather than bow to another god. Not only did they desire to be burned in a fire but they really had a passion to be consumed with who God is. We Love You Jesus is a simple song to Jesus expressing love to Him for all He's done. All in all the album is a must have. It has encouraged me immensely.Solus ChristusDerrick
