I am just so excited that I have been keeping this thing up. I actually need to update the freshvibe blog too. Maybe I will today. On a different note, I got to spend a few hours with Allison last night again. We've began praying together, aloud. We probably should have been doing that all along. I know I have been praying for her and been prayed for by her for the last year and a month but we have now begun to pray togehter.

I want to us this to segway into the need for prayer in life all together and also in your relationships.
Prayer is real simple, its about God.
- God is high and holy-we need to recognize in prayer that God is holy, "Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed (holy) be thy name." Basically, God is God, I am not. This is how we begin.
- We pray for His kingdom and His will: Prayer is not about what we can get from God. It's not a list of "God do's", God do this, God do that. We pray for His will to be done. "God whatever you want." We also pray for His kingdom. We pray for Him to reign on high in our lives. "On Earth as it is in heaven." Which basically means, "let it be done in my life as you intended it, as it is done in heaven, as the angels would do it."
- We pray for His word to be implanted in our lives: "Give us our daily bread" indicates the nourishment we need. Physical nourishment but most of all Spiritual nourishment. God is concerned most for our spiritual condition. The bread is something we pray for to be implanted daily. "Lord, give me a hunger for your word."
- We pray for a heart of forgiveness: God forgives and so should we. We need forgiveness, so do those who hurt us.
- We pray for hearts not lead astray: Our lives are inclined to sin. It is our nature, we need the strong hand of God to keep us from sin. To pray this means we begin to trust Him for that strength to overcome temptation in our lives. Only God can deliver us from the sin that we will come in contact with. We desperately need HIM.
This transmits into every aspect of our lives but must especially transmit into our relationships. It sounds very cliche but I believe it's very true to say, "the couple that prays together, stays together." If you desire a meaningful relationship and not just some "highschool fling", then pray for God's will to be done in your relationship too.
Soli Deo Gloria (to God alone be the glory)
